  1. your office looks very nice! was it hard making the adjustment to go back to work? i'd love to take a year off to think about what i REALLY want to do in terms of my career but i'm afraid i would never want to go back to work!

    1. It has been pretty easy so far to get back to work. My daughter started school at the beginning of the month and my son started daycare so our routine was set up and tested ahead of time. I'm also making sure that I plan our meals because I have 1.5h once I get home to get the supper made, eaten, bathtime and story done before my daughter's bedtime but after that I have a couple hours to get a few things done but most of it can be taken to relax :)

And back at the office it's as though I never left. I took a half day to get up to date with the changes and get used to my new job since I changed departments but other than that it's the same old place!

In some ways it's more relaxing to be at working outside the home than working at home taking care of the kids so at the moment it's a change I don't mind making. It's only been 2 days of work so maybe the fatigue will hit me harder than when I'm staying at home (no more taking a nap in the day when I need it) but so far so good! It might be harder to go back to work after taking a year off for an interesting project or anything else that is less "work" than hobby.

    1. Going back to work definitely helps for that! A bit of extra financial freedom... I work for a finance place and do a bunch of random stuff there lol
